Punk fans in HK - rejoice! The last day of Jan in 2012, we shall be graced by none other less than one of the first punk bands to hit the airwaves EVER - The Damned!! Being first-wave forefathers of their glorious, riotous sound hasn’t stemmed their desire to Smash it Up, and so they’re gonna blast your ears out at Grappa’s Cellar. Generous doses of more noise will be provided by opening act The Shadow all the darn way from Houston, TX.

A Shadow will befall us soon, and we shall be glad for it. No, it’s not Mr. Burns’ giant
disc, it’s The Shadow from Houston, TX, who’ll be playing in HK this last day of January,
supporting punk legends The Damned, at Grappa’s Cellar. Their music is a strange yet
intriguing creature - lots of classic 70s punk bound loosely by more anarchic noise-rock
tendencies. Against this background is set the beautiful and powerful voice of Raquel’s
vocals - melodic but with the punch of Riot Grrrl. An enthralling combination, to which
they do complete justice when playing live. SO don’t let this shadow fall behind you, and
check them out while they’re in town - one night only!
